Only last month Australian central bank raised the bank interest rates by 25 basis points, and exactly 30 days down the line, the rates have been raised again.
The Australian government is worried about the sharp rise in the real estate prices across the country which is due to the excessive bank funding at low cost. So it has taken the corrective step of raising up the interest rates once again.
Given the historical trends, we can only expect the Australian central bank to keep raising the rates by anything between 100 to 200 basis points over the next 12 months.
