Now, it is Nissan’s turn to recall

It is raining recalls in the world of automobiles. I am not sure what the hell is happening out there but whatever it is, it does not do any good to the quality perception of any of these guys.

Now, it is Nissan's turn. Nissan is recalling nearly 540,000 pickup trucks, sport utility vehicles and minivans, most of them in the US. It has identified problems with brake pedal pins which come loose and faulty fuel gauges. Titan, Armada, Quest and Infiniti QX56 vehicles built between 2008 and 2010 are affected by the recall. Nissan said there had been three instances of brake pedal pins partially disengaging but "no accidents or injuries have been reported".

Japan's third largest carmaker is notifying owners of potentially affected vehicles and asking them to bring them into dealers to be checked.

It is also encouraging customers whose vehicle might have the fuel gauge problem to keep their tank at least half full.
