It is now planning to enter the Iphone market in a big way with it's own product set for test launch. It is trying to understand the market response for the advanced technology product, by putting a price tag that is far higher than Apple's iPhone.
Google will be able to go for full scale launch of the product in the coming months, which can eventually challenge and take away a sizable market share from Apple. Apple has been able to withstand the global economic downturn only because of iPhone, while Nokia has been forced to lose key markets due to reliance on the same range of products.
Nokia was the global leader in mobile phones which lost the market dominance in US in the year 2009, due to the grand success of Apple iPhones. And the iPhone dominance is all set to continue in the current year also , as it is expecting full scale launch in other key markets.
