Why Apple iPad may not be successful ?

There has been much limelight around the launch of the Apple iPad last week , which is a said to be a unique product that is expected to fit in between your mobile phone and your laptop.
The company expects that with this new product, the users would be able to skip carrying two gadgets and still perform most of their activities. So with the iPad you can browse the internet, perform most of your mailing and chatting activities and also handle all your calls.
But the instrument does not allow you to perform most of the activities you may do with your laptop. At best high level users, who contribute 5% to 10% of the total computer users, might be the target audience. And of that 5% or 10% only might want to try out the new product.

So there is a fair chance that the product may not get the kind of response Apple is expecting.
