The year 2010 will have a boom of personal computers. 2009 was a year which saw slow growth and was also a recession year. The year 2010 will see a rise of the personal computer industry. The sales of personal computers worldwide will grow up to 20%. The laptop will also see a good amount of growth.
The research about the computer growth was done by the group Gartner. In 2010 the growth of computer sales of 366.1 million units is seen. In 2009 the growth of computer sales was around 305.8 million. A 19.7 % rise will be seen in the sales this year compared to 2009.
The PC spending will be $245 billion this year Gartner said. The PC growth will mostly be driven by portable computers. The overwhelming response in the PC growth will be seen by mobile PC’s. The home growth is the reason behind the growth of mature and emerging markets. The research was done by the director of Gartner George Shiffler.
And most of the growth is expected to come from populous and growing economies like China, India and Brazil. These countries are still less penetrated in terms of Computers, and they hold huge potential. Over the next three of four years, the combined sales of computers in these three countries could be over 50% of the global sales, as per analysts.
