Why US economy can perform better in 2010?

The US economy started the year 2009 on a negative GDP growth, but it has made a massive comeback with a spectacular 5.9% GDP growth in the last quarter. The stupendous recovery has been aided by the massive government spending on stimulus, which is all set to end in the current quarter.
The US economy may see a gradual pull back of all the stimulus measures and also the special funding of cheap funds to the banking system. That in turn may turn out to be the key to furthering the growth of the US economy.
There could be a respectable percentage of US citizens who are waiting for further reduction in property prices , and all these people might be forced to go for home buying once the stimulus is withdrawn.
The US dollar has also strengthened against all the other major currencies which in turn could turn weak once US economy starts gaining momentum. That could propel US exports in a big way in the future.
So there is a ray of hope that the US economy might perform far better in the year 2010, which is very good for the entire world. Let us all hope that the US economy does better from now onwards.
