Microsoft recruits employees from failed companies

The Microsoft success story is known across the nook and corner of the globe and everybody tries to understand the key reasons behind the great success.
And the book named THE PATH TO THE FUTURE, by Jonathan Gatlin, is truly providing some insights into the success of Bill Gates and his company. He has been consciously recruiting few managers from failed companies, so that there is some sort of balancing factor in all the key decisions taken by the company.
He has also been strongly in favor of annual retreats for the managers when they would discuss some company related long term issue without any regular work pressure. That has helped them to prepare the company for living without the IBM partnership from 1992.
Microsoft was the first to recognize the great potential of Personal computers and also the internet and thus has been able to capitalize on that fully. For every individual with an aspiration to grow in life, and for every budding manager (at all levels from junior management to CEOs !!!) the book is a must read, I feel.
And when you keep enhancing your knowledge on a continuous basis, there are better chances of you being successful in all aspects of life.
